Obituary of Samuel "Sam" Smith
With his family by his side, Sam passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the age of 78. Sam was a beloved husband of Jean. Dear father of Kari (Mike) Redwood, Scott (Eowyn Tiessinga) and step father of Jeff, Sarah and Heather. Proud and cherished Sampa to 14 grandchildren. Sam will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends he made through the years. Sam found enjoyment in spending time playing golf, going for a bike ride or a drive, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Sam's life will be held in the spring and will be announced at a later time. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer Society.Service Information
