Obituary of Preston Scott Alexander Hopkinson

It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Preston on March 4, 2023 at the age of 33. Preston was the beloved son to Marsden Hopkinson and Noel & Novelet Prescod. Cherished big brother to Lamar, Shirland, Maya and Amber. Favourite uncle to Niveah. Much loved Godfather to Arabella and Kaliyah. Preston will also be lovingly remembered by his uncles, aunts, best friends Eric and Garrett and many other friends.

Preston was born on April 9, 1989 in Niagara Falls. He was a true example of a man that lived his life to the fullest. He loved to party hard like a rockstar and spend as much time as he could with his family and friends. He had an adventurous spirit and was never afraid to try new things, whether it was a new food or a travel destination. He especially loved being anywhere that was sunny. Preston will be remembered for always having the biggest smile on his face. He had the best sense of humour, and could usually be found laughing, joking or teasing. He loved being around children and animals, and will certainly be missed by his dog Nala. Preston was an aspiring welder, a hard worker, and overall a really caring man. He will be sorely missed by all those who were lucky to have known him.

Arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A visitation for Preston will be held at Freedom Point Church, 2 Whyte Ave S, Thorold, on Friday, March 17 from 12-1 p.m., with a funeral service taking place at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow.
