Obituary of Patricia (Pat) Ann Van Wijnen (née Morris)
We are saddened to announce that on Thursday, February 22, 2024, Patricia Van Wijnen (née Morris) passed away peacefully at NHS-Niagara Falls Site, at the age of 84, with her step-daughter Jackie by her side. She has now been reunited with her husband Cornelis and her parents George and Elizabeth Morris (née Mason). She leaves behind her three loving step-children Jacqueline (Melody), Richard (Della) and Philip, her adored four grandchildren and cherished two great grandchildren as well as her very dear friends Cheryl Hamilton, Jamie Burt and Karen Wynne (Stevens).Pat was born in Nova Scotia. She worked at many of the Bank of Montreal locations in Nova Scotia, Toronto and Niagara Falls until retiring from the Morrison and Dorchester branch after many years of service.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. An interment will take place in Nova Scotia. If desired, donations in Pat's memory may be made to the McMaster's Children's Hospital Foundation which is an organization that was near and dear to her heart.

Our sincere condolences on the passing of Patricia! I Betty Dadd worked with Patricia at Dorchester & Morrison for many years before I moved to Windsor in 1988. Have many fond memories working with her as she was always trying to find me a husband! I was a single mother of two young girls and we used to go and swim in their pool. Your dad Cor and Pat were gracious hostesses we had a lot of fun with them. May your memories give you comfort at this time God bless everyone.
