Obituary of Neil Cameron Crane

Peacefully in the presence of his three daughters, Neil passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the age of 74. He will be remembered by his daughters, Allison (Lorenzo) Orense, Angela Crane, Nicole (Val) Crane-Fajardo and by their mother Susan Crane, and by his grandchildren, Jake, Jayden, Carter, Zoey and Malakai. Neil will be missed by his sisters Sharon, Jean, Joyce and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Mae and Lloyd Crane.

Neil was born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario. Neil went to Guelph University to obtain his Bachelor of science in Engineering and then furthered his education to get his Masters at The University of Waterloo. Following his educational years, he began his career as a facilities Manager working in the Toronto General Hospital, Greater Niagara General Hospital, and King Edward Memorial Hospital in Bermuda. Neil's work became one of his greatest passions which allowed him to make many friends and memories along the way. Outside of his professional life, he loved spending time out on the golf course and participating in various social activities. He enjoyed recording his thoughts down on paper, as writing was one of his favourite hobbies. If he wasn't writing what was on his mind or teeing off, you would certainly find him cheering on his favourite sport teams, especially the Toronto Maple Leafs. Go Leafs Go!

Most will remember Neil for his cheerful smile, his friendly attitude and outgoing personality. If you had just met Neil, he wouldn't have been a stranger for long as he loved to share his stories and make new friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services, Niagara Falls (905-354-2133). Family and friends are welcome to gather for a visitation at Essentials, 4300 Drummond Road, Niagara Falls, on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 6-8pm. Cremation will follow. A memorial service will take place at Chippawa Presbyterian Church, 8280 Willoughby Dr, Niagara Falls on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 11:30am. An interment will take place in the afternoon at Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls, at 2pm.
