Obituary of Michael Yarema

We sadly announce that Michael Yarema passed away suddenly on Friday, March 22, 2024 in Welland at the age of 78. He has been reunited with his parents Maria and Dmytro, brother John and his long time girlfriend Barbara. He leaves behind his sister in law Victoria, nieces Asia (Chauncey) and Jessica (Taylor) and great nieces and nephews Brodie, Nyla, Lauren, Kylee and John as well as his stepdaughter Amy McNamara.

Michael was a dedicated employee to General Motors for almost 50 years. He was known to frequent the many pubs around the city of Welland, where he made many lasting friendships.

In keeping with Michael's wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Welland.
A celebration of life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Welland 383 Morningstar Avenue, Welland on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 5:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m
In lieu of flowers please consider a non-perishable food item or cash donation to the Welland Food Bank. We will accept all donations during the celebration of life and forward items on behalf of Michael.
