Obituary of Michael Henry William Jones
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Henry William Jones who left us suddenly on January 7, 2022 and too soon at the age of 34; son of Scott and Coral Jones, brother of David, Timothy, Deborah, Sarah and Joy, father to Joshua, Shaun, Ethan and Harrison, grandson of Bill and Sheila Jones, nephew to Donovan and Victoria Wallace, Marcel and Blythe Morissette, Steven Jones, Russell and Kim Jones, and David and Kelly Jones, cousin to Stephanie, Carol, Christopher, Kimberly, Amy, Jessica, Gareth, Rachel, Marisa, Emily, Robert and Thomas.Michael is predeceased by his grandparents John Sweet and Lynne Davies.
Michael graduated from Niagara College as an Electrical Engineer and went on to work at Brock University in IT and also put in the lighting at Great Wolf Lodge. He was also employed at Quartz Co where his employer spoke very highly of his work ethic. He was a very intelligent individual, IQ of 140, but who's counting?
Michael had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He was very generous with his time and money and would give it freely. He was known for his quick ability to eat, especially bacon! Michael had many, many friends. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905 354 2133) and cremation has taken place. Donations in memory of Michael may be made to a GoFund Me account. Family and friends are invited to Southridge Community Church (201 Glenridge Avenue, St. Catharines) on January 17, 2022 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Please email [email protected] to reserve your time slot. A funeral service in Michael's honor will be held at Southridge Community Church on January 18, 2022 at 10:30AM followed by an interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery (431 Queenston St, St. Catharines). All Covid 19 protocols are in effect.

Dear Coral and Scott,
You are and your family members often in our prayers. I pray that God will hold you and all family close to His heart and comfort you supernaturally, as only He can. God loves you all dearly, and He is near to the brokenhearted and binds up the wounds, as only He can. Please do not hesitate to share your heart and your needs with those who care (you know who they are).
So many of us at work have been praying for you all.. I pray that when it feels like you cannot go on… that you will feel that embrace of Your Heavenly Father and the embrace of the prayers made on your behalf.
We love you and pray that you will be strengthened day by day. We pray that every provision will be made for you in every sense of the word.

Mike Jones WHO mike jones! this hurts alot and I know your flying free pain free now. You were always a amazing homie and I’m gonna remember you for the good times we had while you were here. Always had a good humor and always knew how to make everyone laugh. You were so intelligent and knowledgeable. I’ll remember the time you were there for me when I had noone and you gave me the addy and made my day flip around. The advice that day to really helped. You were always there for a friend and I appreciate that about you. To your family and friends my condolences and prayers for yous to help heal. If it helps any always know he’s only physically gone but his spirit will always be with you as he now watches over yous all now. R.I.P Michael Jones I’ll see you again homie when it my turn until then I hold ya spirit close knowing your there still and the memories will never fade.

I’m heart broken that a preventable tragedy has taken such a brilliant young man from his family & friends. I will forever remember the little boy with the big smile while I keep his loved ones in my prayers. XXO 💔
Mike was such a gentle soul. We weren’t close but we hung out a handful of times and used to talk a lot. We lost touch over the years but may his soul Rest In Peace ❤️
