Obituary of Marc Sonier
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marc on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Beloved Husband and best friend to Lynn. Amazing Dad to Renee (Dave) Dione, Crystal (Alex) Haitos, Paul and fur babies Pepin and Frodo. Cherished Grandpapa to Lucas and Ella. Honorary dad to Donna St. Louis. He will be missed by his siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family members and all those who knew him.Marc was an amazing bass player and loved taking requests from friends and family. He would play you anything from honky-tonk to classic rock. Music was a big part of his life but his family was an even bigger part. He loved watching his kids and grandkids grow up into the adults they are today.
Arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
A Celebration of Marc's Life will be held at the Chippewa Legion on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 3-7p.m.

Sorry to hear about Mark. Haven’t seen him in years. He played with my Brother Gary Jones.💕🙏
Condolences to family and friends of Marc. I enjoyed our many times together during the musician’s breakfast. It just happened that I ended up in emergency recently and found out Marc was admitted and just down the hall so I was able to have a short visit. Then a day later I was moved to a ward and Marc was moved to the same ward as well. I was fortunate to have a couple more short visits before he passed. I am going to miss him.
My deepest condolences, Lynn & to your family. I met Marc when his family moved to Silvertown before we all started high school. He was always a happy person to be around & smiling. I met him again through Lynn & the last time we spoke was during covid. R.I.P. Marc.
I am profoundly saddened to hear of Marc’s passing. I met Marc in my early teens and he was always someone who I knew would treat me with respect. In turn I had the utmost respect for him as a musician and a human being. His sense of humour endeared him to every one he met. His integrity as a bass player made him a valuable member of every band he played with over his long and storied career. He will be remembered by all who had the good fortune to know and work with him. Rest In Peace Sir.

Lynne and Family,
We were so sorry to hear about Marc, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you, keep his memories in your heart forever. Love you,
I chatted with Marc on Facebook this past April 8 and he suggested we get together for coffee. I said I thought that would be great and I regret it never took place. I would have liked to spend some time with Marc and I’m sorry I didn’t make the time to see him again. I truly admired and respected Marc and I wanted him to know that…Lynne is a girl I admired from the first day I met her and I know she and Marc were a perfect package that would last forever R.I.P. Marc
