Obituary of Lynn Ruhe

RUHE, Lynn 1958-2022

Surrounded by her loving family, Lynn Ruhe passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, February 28, 2022, at 11:10 am. Lynn was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. Predeceased by her parents Holt and Charlotte Read, she is survived by her supportive husband Fred, daughter Susan (Jared), son Marty (Kelly), and her beloved grandchildren Avalina, Gavin and Connor. She will be deeply missed by her siblings and best friends, Debbie Olah (Joe), Bob Read (Sue), Jeff Read (Michelle), Barbara Fraser, and all her nieces and nephews.
Lynn enjoyed many adventures with Fred on their tandem bicycle, kayaking through the Niagara waterways, and cheering on her favourite sports teams. Her greatest gifts were her grandchildren and she made sure to cherish every moment spent with them. She will be remembered most for her kindness, quick wit, bravery, and resilience, teaching us all what strength and courage truly looks like.
Cheers Lynn! Love you forever.
A service will not be held at this time. Donations in her honour can be sent to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada if you wish. Arrangements were entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services, 221 Division St., Welland. Online condolences may be shared on Lynn’s tribute page at EssentialsNiagara.com.

My condolences to Lynn’s family. I volunteered with her for many years at Lloyd Rice and Quaker Road schools. She was always so upbeat, smiling and lively – always a pleasure to be around.

Graeme and I are extremely sorry to hear about Lynn. We will really miss the casual chats on the driveway or seeing Lynn out on the bike and enjoying every minute of it. She was a down to earth wonderful person who inspired all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Condolences to Fred and the family.

So sad to hear of Lynn’s passing! I always loved being around the Read family. There was always happiness and energy! So glad I stopped by a few years ago and spent some time with Holt. He and Ernie were always up to something. Condolences to Fred and the family!
