In Loving Memory of
Louise Annette McGaw
1963 ~ 2024
Obituary of Louise Annette McGaw
With sad hearts we say goodbye to our beautiful sister, partner, auntie and friend. Louise, age 60, left us on Thursday, February 15, 2024, with her sister and partner at her bedside. Gone too soon with so many plans and so much to look forward to.Louise was born August 6, 1963, the youngest of three siblings, immigrating to Canada as a small child in 1965. She has been reunited with her parents Harriet and Frank Chatting and brother Grant Chatting. She will be dearly missed by her sister Janice Scott, partner Tim Ciszek, niece Amy Illingworth (Daryl), nephew Russell Scott, great-niece Victoria Illingworth and extended family and friends, especially Fiona and Padge Baylis and Barb and Bill Campisano.
Louise was beautiful, intelligent, opinionated and brave. She loved to shop for repurposed treasures and to share conversations with anyone who would lend an ear. Louise filled our lives with love, laughter and joy. She was the planner for all of our family get-togethers, adorning those around her with gifts and baked treats. She was committed to keeping in contact with family overseas, finding ways to connect and celebrate despite the distance between us. Louise was a resourceful, humble woman, with an incredible work ethic and deep love for people and animals. She worked for many years as a personal support worker (PSW), supporting ner clients in Niagara with dignity and compassion. Working as a server for many years prior to this, she will always be remembered for her limitless energy, smile and infectious laughter-there were so many connections over the years.
Our family cannot express our gratitude for all of the love and support from friends, neighbours and co-workers-we are truly blessed! The family also wishes to express our gratitude to the first responders and I.C.U team at GNGH who showed dedication, professionalism and compassion. It was through their efforts that Louise recovered from a severe illness five years ago and we will be forever grateful for the extra time it gave us with our dear Auntie Weez.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A celebration of life is being planned for May 3 at Carpaccio Restaurant 6840 Lundy's Ln, Niagara Falls, from 4:00 - 7:00p.m. For those who wish, donations in Louise's memory may be made to the Greater Niagara Humane Society and would be appreciated by her family.

Louise was a sweetheart, I remember meeting her and Janice for the first time on Portage road at the old real estate office run by Charlie Wood. She was always smiling and seemed so caring.
