Obituary of John Cirocco
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Cirocco, peacefully at the NHS-Welland Site on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the age of 97 after a brief illness. John haswaited a long time to be reunited with his loving wife Julie who left him 23 years ago. He has also been reunited with his parents, Dominic and Barbara, brothers and sister. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
John was born in Thorold but made Welland his home in 1954 when he and Julie married. He constructed a house and made it their home where he resided for the past 70 years. He enjoyed many years of joyful employment as a heating and cooling technician. John was an honorary member of the Lookout Golf Club in Fonthill. He had a passion for the sport as well as traveling to exotic beaches with Julie, family and friends. His dry wit was always present right up to his final moments. John was a consummate gentleman who appreciated everyone.
His family would like to send their sincere thanks to his caregivers and neighbours, who became like caregivers, for providing such loving and compassionate care to John which enabled him to stay in his cherished home until his passing. They enriched his life in such a profound way. He had an amazing life, strong, sharp and healthy until the very end.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Welland. If desired, donations in John's memory may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre and would be appreciated by his family.

Uncle John you will be missed by so many people who love you and looked up to you. When I traveled I always thought of you and aunt Julie. It brings tears to my eyes. I thought I would see you again after my trip for month. I am so sorry. I will think of you when I golf ⛳. See you on the other side. Thanks Sam and all how take care for you. My condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of meeting John while being his sister Mary Duggan’s companion for 5 years. . He was a kind and humorous man. A true gentle soul and loving brother to Mary. They are now reunited. He will be missed.
