Obituary of John Arthur Carrigan

Peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the age of 84, John Arthur Carrigan left us. He is survived by his wife Florence (née Essex), his children Wendy Zilio (Lou), Kevin, Jackie (Todd Dell), Daniel and Kimberly, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, his sister-in-law Carol Collver (Roy), sister-in-law Pat Essex), and brother-in-law John Collins, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. John is predeceased by his father, Leonard Sr., his brother Leonard Jr., brothers-in-law Jerry Essex, Teddy Essex and Roger Essex and sisters-in-law Laurel Collins, Valdora Carrigan and Irene Gilbert.

John was born in Nova Scotia but made Niagara Falls his home. He worked for various companies as a welder and also a tow truck driver until an injury made it no longer possible for him to carry on his career. In his later years, he kept to himself and his family. He was a humble, nice and kind man and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133) A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Please consider a donation in his memory to a charity of your choice.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to John's Nurse Practitioner, Rapheal and Personal Support Worker, Dave.
