Obituary of James "Jimmy" Decker
It is with heavy hearts that we share that our Jimmy passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Jim had the kindest heart and a gentle soul - he extended this to everyone he met and accepted each of us just as we are. Jimmy is survived by his siblings Sharon, Albert, Paul and Ron. He was predeceased by his brothers Gord and Danny, as well as his parents Jim, Mary and Diane. Jim was a fixture within the Mainstream Community for over 25 years. He was passionate about people and cherished his friendships and family above all else.He was well loved within the community and made friends wherever he chose to go. Anyone who met Jim would soon realize that he had taken a small piece of their heart and it is for this reason that he will be missed by each of us. A special thank you to Tammy and the staff at Mainstream for providing excellent support and care through the years.
Family and friends are welcome to gather together on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Christ Lutheran Church, 140 Russell Avenue, St. Catharines, where a visitation will be held from 1pm to 2pm. A service celebrating Jimmy’s life will then take place in the church at 2pm. Cremation will follow the service. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Mainstream would be appreciated. Online condolences may be shared on Jim’s tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com.
