BRUNDL, Helga HeleneOn May 4th, 2021, the force of nature that is Helga Brundl died from complications of Melanoma. Despite being 80 years young she left us far too soon.
Feisty, generous, and kind; she loved life, lived it passionately and regretted nothing. We should all be so lucky. Married to Steve for 22 years, she is predeceased by her daughter Sylvia, sister Greti and brother Rudi. She leaves behind her sister Inge and niece Graziana in Austria. She was dog mom to Maggie May, Stepmom to Stephanie, John and Peter, Oma to Isabella, Jacob, and Mila, and Tante to Monika, Leslie and David and many other nieces and nephews. She had so very many friends who were blessed to know her, laugh with her and love her.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). As per her wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made. Please donate generously in her name to her favourite charity, famouspeopleplayers.com (416 532-1137), this would be greatly appreciated by the family. Online condolences and donations may be made on Helga’s tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com. Rest assured, there will be a party to celebrate her life when we are able and we will be drinking Schnapps.
As Helga would often say when recounting a past epic experience, "We had SO much fun!"

You were the absolute funniest, wittiest woman with the most contagious laugh, I remember being little and visiting you; playing in your basement with that amazing bar and all your trinkets from your travels.
I think my fondest memory is going to see the Lion King live show with my sisters. They had people dressed as elephants walking down the aisles, they were huge extravagant costumes. One of them came right up to you, you screamed and laughed, had the whole row laughing with you. You turned to us, still laughing. “Oh my gosh, did you see that? I thought it was a real elephant, I almost had a screaming fit!”
A force of nature is exactly who you were, I am blessed to have felt it as is anyone who had the same privilege.
So much love to you Tante Helga, I will miss you.

Dear Steve and Family,
I still can’t believe she is gone , but I look forward till me meet again. I was blessed to be with her on Tuesday.
She was like a second mom to us growing up. We have so many great memories.
What a wonderful spirit. She never forgot our birthdays no matter how old we got. For years and years we would pick up the phone and she would be there on the other end signing “happy birthday “ to us!
She was the most travelled person I ever knew. All her adventures and stories! And yes she sure did say “ we had so much fun” a lot. What amazing adventures she had and I’m so happy we had her in all our lives.

I was privileged to have met Helga on many occasions. Her smile and laugh were contagious and I fell in love with her instantly. I was saddened to hear of her passing but am grateful to have been touched by that joie de vivre she exuded. My condolences to all of her family and friends.
