Obituary of Heather Henderson (nee Little)
Heather Patricia Henderson (nee Little)Passed away suddenly in her home on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the age of 39. Loving mother to Abigail and Jared and cherished daughter of Ian Little and the late Catharine. Forever missed by her sister Sarah Henderson (Matt). “Auntie Feather” will also be missed by her nephew Gavin, and nieces Charlotte, and Isla. Heather will be sadly missed by Chad Henderson and his family. Heather had more family, and many life long and work friends that will miss her greatly. She is predeceased by her Grandma and Grandpa Little.
Heather was loved by all and was admired as a selfless woman who deeply cared for everyone she met. She was a PSW for years, was the definition of a caregiver and believed this career was truly her calling. She was the type of person that loved following her clients lives and hearing of their updates. She had a love for children and enjoyed babysitting from a very young age. She would spend time babysitting her best friends’ children whenever she could step in to help. Heather loved sports, playing just about all of them at one point or another. Her son Jared has fallen in her footsteps with his love of athletics. She loved cooking and sharing with her loved ones, making soups, lasagnas, and other delicious meals for them. She was frequently late but never showed up without a car full of items to share. Her best friends including Toni, were with Heather through ups and downs. They will always hold onto fond memories of concerts, bon fires and simply hanging out and being there for each other. She had a close bond with everyone she met, Heather touched people’s hearts. The many photos we have of her show her massive smile. Heather was fun loving and had the best laugh. She was never without company of friends or family, and her laugh will be remembered by all. Her children were Heathers’ greatest joy, and she would do anything for them. She was devoted, loving and had a huge heart. Having children was the highlight of her life.
The family would like to thank everyone who was ever involved in Heather’s life that loved and cared for her. They would ask you to love big like Heather always did and spend time with your family. Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133) has been entrusted with arrangements. As per Heather’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held in the future. I saw this beautiful face and it has taken me a bit to realize heather. I am so sorry for your loss. When the family lived in ridgeway she and Sarah were friends with my daughters. Please accept my deepest condolences to you Ian, Sarah and your family.
Heather was one of the first PSW’s who came into our home to help care for our mom.. We knew from the first day that we had a keeper……her kindness and attentiveness to mom’s needs was obvious and greatly appreciated. She quickly became more than a caregiver just to mom…….our whole family thought of her as a friend. She always had a kind word, a smile or a bit of local news to pass on……we loved the time we spent with her. Our very deepest condolences to her family and friends…..we grieve with you.
Heather has been always a great friend, we had ties to our children,.
Ive known her since grade 1.
I would see her at soccer, school etc
We had a friendship that was life on its own.
God wanted her for a reason..
Its either for her beautiful dimples or just her genuine , kind heart ..

Our sincere condolences to Heather’s family and fiends. Only met her a few times during hockey seasons but every time we saw her, her radiant smile spoke loudly.
Heather was the sweetest person. She was so caring and always helped out whenever she could. She was positive and strong, hard working. She put in 110%. We crossed paths many times in our lives. Grade school, we worked together at DJ’s and years later ended up looking after the same man. I attended her wedding. I remember she would leave funny notes on my car at the apartment Iived at, at the time. I can still hear her voice and her laugh whenever I think of her. Im really sad.
I was one of Heather’s supervisors at SE Health. She is missed tremendously! She always had great points/conversations to share with the team at our group practices( Team Meetings) She cared BIG for her patients, and she was the life of the party at our socials! She touched so many lives at SE Heath. She often did speak of her family especially her children Abigail & Jared. Our hearts are broken.

Some people come into your life and touch your heart so deeply that we will never be the same. Heather truly did touch my heart. I am honoured to have not only known Heather but to also have had her as my colleague and a close friend. To know Heather was to love her, she had the most genuine heart of gold and myself and my family will truly miss the shining star she was and are so thankful for the wonderful memories she has given us that we will cherish forever.
