Obituary of Grace Baxter
Grace BaxterOur hearts are heavy to share that our dear Grace passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 75. Loving Mother to the late Scott Harris, Sherrie Bonaldo and Larry McIntyre (Melissa). Cherished “Grannie” to Isabella, Sophia, Ava, Brittney, Hailey, Emiley and Great Grannie to Kaitlyn. Beloved sister of June, Gloria, Edward, Susan, Pearl, Bonnie, Anne, the late Warner, the late Tony, the late Joan and the late George. Predeceased by her parents Anthony and Anne Baxter. Grace will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, and all who knew her.
Grace will always be remembered as an incredibly strong woman with a positive outlook. She was quick-witted, funny, and always thankful for the care and help she received through her life. She was dearly loved at Millennium Trail Manor and took great pride in always making the staff smile. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and among the many cherished memories she gave to them, her “made from scratch” hamburgers and french fries will always be one of the most precious ones. Grace was and will always be a survivor in every sense of the word, and she will live on forever in our hearts.
Grace's family sends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Millenium Trail Manor - Cilfton Wing, and the ICU staff at Greater Niagara General Hospital for the care and compassion they showed to Grace. Essentials Cremation and Burial Services has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Women's Place of South Niagara, the Canadian Lung Association or participating in a random act of kindness would be greatly appreciated by Grace's family. A celebration of Grace's life will take place at a later date and condolences may be shared at EssentialsNiagara.com
