Obituary of Genevieve Yvonne Rita Desrosiers (nee Corcoran)

June 24, 1925 - March 22, 2022

Genevieve passed away peacefully on March 22, 2022 after having a stroke in her sleep a few days earlier. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Theodule (1985) and son Michael (2014). She leaves behind her daughters Jo-Ann (Fred), Sandra (Norm) and Denise (Patty); her grandchildren Daniella, Mary, Martina (Omar), Marc, Kirsten and Trevor; great-grandchildren Sophia, Ally, Hayden, Marc and Charlie. Genevieve valued family more than anything, which was a good thing as the eldest daughter of Adele Turgeon and Edmond Corcoran's twelve children.

There is nothing she enjoyed more than to party with her sisters and cook for her brothers. She is predeceased by her siblings Lawrence, Curwood, Lee, Ben, Desmond, Madeleine, Mildred, and Doris. She is survived by her siblings Laureen, Lillian, Ken and a large circle of dear friends, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be interred in her family plot in Quebec. A private memorial will be held at that time.
