Obituary of Francis "Gordon" Wilding

With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Francis "Gordon" Wilding on January 12, 2022 Niagara Falls at the age of 82. Left to mourn this loss is his beloved wife of 53 years, Brenda (nee Emerton), his son Craig (Debbie Fahey) and his grandson Aiden. Gordon was the eldest of 4 siblings. He was the cherished brother of Geoffrey (Marsha), Frank (Sharyn) and Lynne Ellis (Ronnie), loving uncle to Lisa-Marie (Alan), Gregory (Angela), Paige, Reagan and Sandra Hammond, great uncle to Gracie, Connor, Cian, Gavin, Emily, Rachel and Roger, treasured brother in law to Sue Hammond (Stuart). Gordon is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Lucy.

Gordon was a proud postal worker for 34 years both here in Canada and in England. He enjoyed traveling but especially his holidays in England. Music was Gordon's life. He loved listening to it, playing it, reading about it and learning about and from it. He would enjoy many great conversations with his neighbor Rich (Val) about jazz, classic rock and Big Band. He had an extensive collection of albums and books.

In keeping with Gordon's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905 354 2133). To honor Gordon, if desired donations to The Walker Family Cancer Centre in his memory would be appreciated by the family.
