Obituary of Frances Anne Henderson

HENDERSON, Frances (nee Mancuso)

July 20, 1950-February 18, 2018

It is with profound sadness that we share our loss with the many people who were fortunate to share in the love for our Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Surrounded by her family, Tracy, Mike and Kylie Korneluk; MiMi Rivait and Gord Fitt; Angela, Vince and Curtis Rines; Connie Mancuso; and her fur baby Puddin, Fran joined her angels, her late husband George Henderson, fur baby Killer, and her parents Horner & Helen Mancuso. Lovingly described as OLG, the Matriarch of the casino slot family and forever one of the Dominion Girls, this true chocoholic will be dearly missed. We convey a heartfelt thank you to our extended family, especially Britanee and Brandi for your support and care. We would also like to thank the physicians and nurses at the St. Catharines Hospital and Krystal from Essentials for their amazing professionalism and compassion. Thank you to the many people for your kind words, thoughts, prayers, visits and overwhelming love. Whether you called her Mom, Grama, Aunt, Sister, Fran, Frannie, OLG, or Carmela she still wouldn’t get your name right.

“So There”; “Shoot me now”.

In accordance with Frances’ wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). A Celebration of Fran’s Life will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 1pm to 6pm, at Delphi Banquet Facilities, 4414 Portage Road, Niagara Falls. Casual or work uniform attire is encouraged! Memorial donations may be given to Pets Alive Niagara or to Wellspring Niagara.

Tracey and MiMi:

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful lady and she always made me laugh. I first met you and your mother when we lived in Summerlea Acres in the 70″s and early 80″s. She was always smiling and laughing, and I have many fond memories of her and George. We also worked together at Mr. Grocer. She will be sadly missed.

We always felt like Fran was a big warm part of our family .. She always included us as a part of her family on holidays and special events .. with open arms she accepted us into her life … She was more then an our sons in laws but a warm special friend that always showed us love and kindness .. She was a strong woman full of kindness and a special kind of wit that drew you to her .. Once you had met her you would never forget her . Even though the angels have gathered another for their ranks .. the world weeps at the loss of such a beautiful soul from our midst. You will always be in our hearts and the love you gave can never be taken from us .

We speak of you often to bring you into our thoughts and memories of you will keep you here with us in our hearts always and forever .. I count my blessings to have known and loved you …

Fran (Mom)… Words cannot describe how I feel. The last 8 days seem to be surreal. I wish I could have spent more time with you. I wish I could turn back time. Thank you for making one of the toughest decision of your life. I thought about you for so many years and was so excited and touched when you agreed to meet me. I will never forget that moment. You were a loving, wonderful and amazing woman. To make things even more amazing was allowing me to meet my 2 sisters. Two of the most beautiful women and who also embraced me and my family. Fran … I promise we will continue to be a huge part of each other’s lives. I promise to continue to support and be there for Mimi and Tracy in anyway I can. I love them and they miss you terribly, as do I. There is so much more I want to say …. God I wish you were here to hear it. Lots of love Angela xo
