Obituary of Edward "Eddy" Booker

After living life the way he wanted to and after a short illness on Sunday, October 3, 2021, Eddy Booker went peacefully in his sleep at the Douglas Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his love, Barbara Dell. He will be forever remembered by his children: Alyssa Booker (Robbie), Kerry Booker (Geordan), Delaney Hansen (Erik), Devon Cournoyea (Alex), and by Lori Oana Booker (who is the mother of their children). Eddy will be dearly missed by his father Cliff Booker (loving mother, Louise 2014), brothers Bill (Dolly), Bob (Dee), Jim (Pam) and sisters Marie (Fred), Cathy and sister-in-law Tracy, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, fur babies; Tinker, Storm, Whipple and Mufasa and of course by the many, many friends he made everywhere he went.

Eddy was very talented in his custom automotive paintwork and has worked for numerous automotive companies and custom shops throughout the Niagara Region. He was known for his talented meticulous paint work and intricate eye for detail.

Eddy adored his children. He could be heard telling them that he had eyes on them everywhere! He had a great love for NASCAR and some of his favourite pastimes were riding Harleys, checking out tall ships, going to concerts, many camping adventures, speedway racing, watching old movies, caring for his animals and in his earlier years, go-karting. He was often fascinated with rain and snow storms.

A very special thank you to Dr. Scher, the nurses and all the staff on the Palliative Care Unit at Douglas Memorial Hospital.

Eddy's outgoing personality made you love him. Eddy, you will be forever missed, your smile, your laugh and your whistle. In keeping with Eddy's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905) 354- 2133.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 479, 5603 Spring Street, Niagara Falls, on Monday, November 1, 2021, from 3:00pm - 5:00pm, or stop by Chip and Charlies after 7:00pm. I came upon Eddy’s obituary just recently. We were friends in high school and often we would listen to music in his basement after school. I am sorry to hear of his passing and wish the family my sympathies.

From another youngest of the Gonzalez lineage, my condolences. Although I hadn’t seen him much lately he always had a smile and a laugh when we talked in the past. He will be missed

I am so sorry for your loss. Eddy always brought a smile to our faces at the vet clinic with his sunny disposition and goofy sense of humour. He obviously adored his animals too, which to me, speaks volumes about a person’s character. My thoughts are with your family during this difficult time.
