Obituary of Cornelia Lopers (nee VanWyk)
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Cornelia on Monday, July 3, 2023 at Salvation Army The Eventide Home at the age of 95. Beloved wife for 60 years to the late Lucas Lopers. Loving Mother to Henry, Carolyn (Dan) Monteith, Rita (Brian) Bertolo and Joanne (Joe). Cherished Oma to Danielle (John), Michelle (James), Kevin, Luke, Emily (Evan), John (Michelle), Gabrielle (Brett), Sarah (Marco), Stephanie, Vega, Dutch, Genevaand cherished Groma to Victoria, Becca, Ashley, Lianna, Eliza-Lynn and Evie. She will be missed by many extended family members, Lillian and friends. Predeceased by her mother Martha as well as her brothers John and Bob VanWyk. Cora immigrated from Holland in 1951 with her husband and found solace in her church Stamford Lane United Church. Cora had many loves that included sewing, crochet, gardening and camping with her family throughout Canada and the USA. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world and she loved watching them grow into the amazing people they are today. The family would like to express their thanks for all the support and love they received from eventide as well as the blessings they received from Rev. Harvey Tobey and everyone at Stamford United Church. The family would also like to extend their thanks to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services for their love and attention to care. In accordance with Cora’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to Stamford Lane United Church or to the Canadian Cancer Foundation.Service Information

To the entire Lopers Family, I am very sorry to hear about Cora passing away. She was a wonderful neighbor. She was also a very terrific friend to my mother Wanda.
