Obituary of Robert "Bob" Graham

Robert died peacefully at his home on Friday, March 29, 2024, with his wife, Stella, by his side. He was 93. Bob and Stella were married 65 years and he always said she was the love and anchor of his life. He was a loving father to Brian and Jody, and adored Papa to Kate. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers James (Martha) and Stanley Graham, sisters-in-law Christine Senyk and Kathryn Graham, brother-in-law Morris Ivanchuk, and extended family including numerous nieces and nephews across Canada and the United States. He was predeceased by his brother Reverend William Graham (Kathryn), and by his parents Samuel and Ruth (née Wyant) Graham.
 
Born in Brazil, Bob came to the United States to attend The Stoney Brook School on Long Island. His passion became basketball and business. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Central College in Iowa and, shortly after becoming a certified public accountant, Bob embarked on his career as a CPA with Ernst and Ernst in Los Angeles, California. It was there, in 1958, that he met Stella. They soon married in Canada, settled in Burlington, and embarked on a life journey of love and adventure. Bob valued hard work, frugality, and kind gestures. As a tax accountant, he was deeply committed to his clients, working into his 90’s. His concern for his family’s well-being ran deep, as did his gratitude to those who cared for him in his last years of life. If you were fortunate to spend time with Bob you knew that, when life brought challenges, he loved a good joke. In honor of Bob, you might carry on that tradition.
