Obituary of Raymonde Marie Suzanne Taylor

Passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024, at the age of 84. Raymonde was predeceased by her first husband, Reynald Helie, and by her second husband, William Taylor. She was a loving mother to Daniel Helie, Johanne Duguay (Norman), and Helen Scott (David). Cherished Nana to Jessica, Casey, Jennifer (Brennan), Joshua, Jordan, Drew (Tara), and Jason. Raymonde was also a great-grandmother to Noah. Born to the late Leopold and Rosa Anna Tessier, Raymonde shared a special bond with her siblings Yvon, Henri Paul, Michel, and Regean. Predeceased by her best friend, Aunt Kay.

Raymonde's life was a testament to her vibrant spirit and loving nature. She had a passion for singing and dancing, lighting up any room with her presence. She also enjoyed knitting and playing bingo. Her culinary skills were legendary and she was an amazing cook and baker. Raymonde approached life with tenacity, facing challenges with determination and perseverance. She had an uncanny ability to tackle anything she set her mind to. Raymonde will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour, her hearty laugh, and above all else, for her love of her family. One of her greatest joys was being a Nana, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Extendicare, especially Chantal, Addie, and Jing, for their exceptional care and compassion.

In keeping with Raymonde's wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering for family and friends will be held at Essentials Cremation and Burial Services, 102A-4300 Drummond Road, Niagara Falls on Monday, April 29 from 6-8 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Autism Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
