Obituary of Lynda Marie Factley (née Dickson)

With immense sorrow we announce the passing of Lynda Marie Factley (née Dickson) a.k.a Dixie on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 just shy of turning 84. She has been reunited with her parents Harold and Edna Dickson (née Woodruff), daughter Tharyn (2013) and grand daughter Alysha (2016). Lynda was an amazing wife to her husband of 67 years, Allen Factley, loving mother to Elizabeth Hogan (Lance), Allen D. Factley (Wanda) and Adam Factley, adored Nanna to Seth, Kayne (Shannon), Jared (Saira), Todd and Bea, cherished G.G. to Hudson, Max, Farrah, Leo, Lilly and Layla.

Lynda was known for her outgoing personality and her love for people. Her social nature brought joy and warmth to all who knew her. For 22 years, she enjoyed the sunshine and community in her cherished property in Florida with Al. She spent her career as a demonstrator in sales, where her charisma and dedication made her a trusted and successful professional. A loyal friend and a devoted family member, Lynda always put others first. She was an artist at heart, creating beautiful oil and watercolor paintings that will be treasured by her loved ones. Her passion for collecting china and various other items, along with her love for searching for treasures, reflected her adventurous spirit and appreciation for beauty. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and loyalty.

Lynda's family would like to send their sincere thanks to Dr. Chung, Dr. Masood and Dr. Werhun for their professionalism and kindness over the years.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at Drummond Hill Cemetery in Niagara Falls and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Niagara Falls. If desired, donations in Lynda's memory may be made to Operation Smile Canada, a cause that Lynda held very near to her heart.

Dear Al and Family, I was shocked and saddened to read of Lynda’s passing. When I remember her it is her smile and laugh that made her such fun to be with. Her wit kept us laughing at bridge. I’m sure she has her arms wrapped around Tharyn and Alysha as they keep watch over their family. Carolynne Canham

Allen, Beth, Allen and Adam, I am so sad to hear about Dixie. Her smile and giggle I have known since I was born and it will be truly missed. Heaven will never be the same now that Dixie, Willy, Auntie Pat and my mom Tizzie are reunited! My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.

Allen & Family, words can’t express my deepest sympathy to you & yours. Dixie was Niagaras answer to Angie Dickinson. She always made you feel welcome, & had a wit no one could ever match. R.I.P. Dixie. Fly high with the angels.
Your Pal
Donna
