Obituary of Kyle Reginald Crawford

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Kyle Reginald Crawford on Thursday June 13th, 2024 at the St.Catharines site of Niagara Health after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 82. Kyle leaves behind his beloved wife Sally (nee Harrietha) of almost 60 years. He was a devoted father to Christine and Wade, cherished father in law to Tawnya and proud Papa to Brody, Noah and Aidan. Kyle also leaves behind his brother Dwight (Julia) and many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins from the Crawford and Harrietha families. Kyle was predeceased by his parents Mildred and Earl, his sister Marjorie and his brothers Fraser and Randy (Debbie).

Kyle was born in Hawkesbury Ontario and lived his early life in Quebec. He moved to Port Colborne and met Sally at Lanark where they both worked. He spent most of his working career at Inco and Union Carbide where he made many friends because of his hard working nature and friendly demeanor. He was a loyal member of the Legion in Port Colborne Branch 56 where he enjoyed playing pool with his friends. Kyle also enjoyed listening to country music, reading novels, fishing and hiking, playing cards and tinkering around the house, however he mostly enjoyed his time with Sally and their family. Kyle could always be counted on to lend a helping hand and to find an ingenious solution to any problem.

The family would like to send their sincere thanks to the staff of Unit 3B Oncology at the St. Catharines Site of Niagara Health and extended family, friends and neighbours for all their love and support.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Kyle's life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Port Colborne Legion Branch 56, 67 Clarence St, Port Colborne, ON L3K 3G1 from 12 until 4. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Welland. If desired, donations in Kyle's memory may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, a charity that was near and dear to Kyle's heart.

Good bye Uncle Kyle. You will surely be missed by more people than I’m sure you realize. Your kindness and laughter was greatly appreciated and I’m going to miss . I’m sure you and my dad Andy are having a few drinks and laughing your asses off at the things you two did when we were all together. From playing cards, fishing and just spending time together at family functions.
