Obituary of Harvey Jay Beard
On the morning of April 17, 2024, Harvey Jay Beard passed away while at the Port Colborne Hospital after a battle with cancer. Harvey was 68 years old. Harvey was born in Welland, Ontario to his parents Percy and Doris Beard in March 1956. Dain City was his home and where he grew up with his siblings. After working many years with the Niagara District School Board, he was able to retire later in his life. He had fond memories of working along side his good friend Robbie. Throughout his life he enjoyed spending his time with his sons, fishing, riding his bicycle, spreading the gospel, and listening to The People's Gospel Hour on the Radio. He loved the Lord and was ready to share the Word with anyone. Harvey is survived by his siblings Jim (Eva), Susan, Pam (Alan), Arthur, Raymond (Betsy), Jacqueline (Jack). Also survived by his sons Trevor (Juliana), Rigel (Ruby), Derek (Krysta), Graeme. Also by his grandchildren Harmony, Taiten, and Jonathan. Predeceased by his sister Donna (Walter), brothers Walter, Ross (Diane), and son Kory. In keeping with Harvey's wishes, there will be no funeral service. A cremation is planned, and we invited those that knew Harvey to remember the fond memories they may have with him.Service Information

Heart felt condolences to the Beard family and extended family and close friends of Harv. God bless you
My Condolences to the family. I have many, many fond memories of Harvey as do my children. There isn’t enough space to tell the stories of the good ol days. Fishing, bonfires. and just plain Dain City fun. I was fortunate enough to have been in touch a bit while in Hospital and Harvey was a man of good faith and a kind soul.
My condolences to the family. Harvey. will always be remembered for his kindness, humour, good heart and faith. I enjoyed working with Harvey at Eastdale and seeing him riding his bike and fishing. He always had something good to say. May his memory be eternal.
There were many hours of laughs and good times with Harvey as company.
