Obituary of William "Bill" Maeder
Peacefully at Millenium Trail Manor in Niagara Falls, William "Bill" Maeder passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 just shy of his 81st birthday. Bill has been reunited with his mother Iris, father Paul Sr. and brother Paul Jr. He leaves behind his devoted children; Trevor Maeder (Sanita), Debbie Thornton and Linda Maeder (Darren MacNeill). He was the adored Grandad to his four grandchildren; Leigh, Stevie, Ryan and Katelyn (John) and five great grandchildren; Kane, Lola, Sofia, Jaden and Avery. Bill will be lovingly remembered by family overseas, his many friends and Eileen Maeder the mother of his children.Born in London, England in 1941, Bill came to Canada in 1973. He enjoyed many years of employment for the City of Niagara Falls as a diesel mechanic. He was also the Union President for many terms. He was very adventurous and loved being outdoors in nature boating, fishing or camping. He lived up to his nickname, "Wild Bill'', living life his way.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A celebration to honor Bill's life will be held at The Eager Beaver 6852 Drummond Road Niagara Falls, ON on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 2:00 p.m until 4:00 p.m
The family would like to thank the staff at Millenium Trail Manor and special friends for their care and support. If desired, donations in his memory may be made to The War Amps and would be appreciated by his family.

My heartfelt condolences goes out to your family and loved ones. You were the first person I met when I moved into the neighborhood and you made me laugh from day one. You were not only my neighbor but a friend. Billy, you will forever be remembered and dearly missed. I hope you are up there making everyone laugh like you did down here. Sending you much love.
