In Loving Memory of
William "Bill" Henry Brydge
1942-2022
Obituary of William "Bill" Henry Brydge
Peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022, God finished writing Bill's story, a story filled with 79 years of love, family and faith. Bill married Ena in 1965 and together, hand in hand, raised their family. He was a loving and dedicated father of Cindy (Tony) Leone. Proud Grandpa of Mark, William (Carlie) and Jonathan. He is already missed by his fur-grandbaby, Rebel. Dear brother-in-law of Dorothy (Allen) Fielding and Betty (Doug) Robinson and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Margaret Brydge, his brothers Jack and Ken and his sister-in-law, Vera Catt.Bill will be remembered as a man of faith and was always out helping or serving people, which he felt was his purpose and what he was called to do. He was never shy to volunteer with various organizations and he contributed much time to Gideons of Canada, and 30 years as an active board member and treasurer with the Welland Canal Mission.
Some of Bill’s greatest life accomplishments took him around the world on missionary trips, traveling three times to India, Guatemala and North Macedonia; where he got to share God's love and spread His special message. Bill and Ena joined Brockview Bible Chapel in Fall of 1972, where they continued to be members of the congregation and built many friendships through the years. He will be greatly missed by his church family.
Bill enjoyed many trips to Dufferin Island and Odosagih Bible Conference Grounds, where he loved spending time in nature and taking pictures. Later in life, Bill discovered the gift of colouring, many of his projects requiring detail and precision. He spent hours working on special pieces and blessed much of his art to family and friends.
A special thank you to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at St. Catharines Hospital, for their kindness and excellent care that they provided to Bill and our family.

Dear Ena, Cindy & family.
How saddened we were to receive word of Bill’s passing. We had been praying as updates had been coming that the Lord would touch him in a special way. Bill received the ultimate healing in His home going to heaven. Elinor was so pleased to meet Bill & Ena at Odosagih and having a mutual connection through the assemblies & chapels in Canada. We enjoyed their friendship at Odosagih Bible Conference as they had been seasonal campers for many many years. Bill had a servants heart for the Lord’s work and a testimony for the gospel wherever God placed him. “ We’ll done, good and faithful servant”. We have lost a dear friend but we know where to find him when we all get to heaven. Our thoughts & prayers are to Bill’s family &
all of his friends & acquaintances. Our thoughts & prayers are with his family.
Our deepest sympathies to Ena, Cindy & family. I really enjoyed the one-on-one times I had with Bill while sharing in the ministry at Linhaven. Bill’s testimony and faithfulness have been a great encouragement to me.

Dear Ena and Family,
We are so very sorry to hear of Bill’s passing, but we know he has now met Jesus face to face and is very happy. We have enjoyed our friendship over the years that all began at a chat-and-chew at Redeemer Bible Church so long ago. So many memories of a life well lived! Joe will miss his and Bill’s many discussions about what the Lord is doing in the world and what part He has allowed them both to play. Bill really enjoyed serving the Lord, sharing his faith, sharing his tracts and together he and Joe had a lot of fun laughing about the oddities of life on planet earth. Joe has fond memories of their canoe trips together. Bill often inspired us with his missionary stories. Bill will be greatly missed until we meet again. We will continue to pray for you Ena, Cindy and family. The Lord is our comforter and can always be trusted.
We will miss Bill very much. In all the meals we shared together, we discovered Bill’s heart for God & his joy of sharing Jesus with all around. Know he is waiting for us all when it is our time to go.
We will truly miss Bill for he was always a blessing of encouragement to us. Our fondest remembrance of Bill is the pure joy he had playing one of the wise men during a live nativity held at the Town Square in Ridgeway one year. Ena you and all your family are in our thoughts and prayers always. We pray GOD’S Peace and Comfort be upon you all giving you strength to endure. Love-in-CHRIST JESUS
My deepest sympathies on the passing of Bill. I always appreciated Bill dedication to God word and will have wonderful memories from King of the Road Ministries and other Christian endeavours.
Until Christ calls us who are alive we shall see each other again in God perfect timing.

We have many good memories of Bill and his endeavours as a Gideon. Bill was always ready to tell people about our Lord. Ena, you have been very supportive of Bill over many years.
Praying for Ena and your family. May God comfort you in the days aheaf.
Bill was is support of so many Christian endeavours. I lost count of how many times I’d be involved in something and lo and behold, there was Bill. He pleasantly surprised me with his support in so many places. He loved the Lord, the Saints of God and reaching the lost. He had a way about him unlike anyone else at Brockview Bible Chapel. Bill, you will forever be missed and I regret that we never get to have that coffee date.
Praying for Ena and family, God’s comfort and peace in the days ahead, Sincerely in Christ’s love,
Sherry Mauk (Odosagih Friends)
Praying for Ena and Cindy to have the comfort of knowing Bill is in a perfect place. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord 🙏🙏
From the first time I met Bill and Ena at Odosagih Bible Conference I knew I was in the company of two godly servants of Jesus Christ. I fondly remember afternoons at the trailer talking about the things of the Lord. Thank-you Ena for the privilege of walking this journey with you over the past few weeks and indeed heaven is closer with another of God’s choice servants there. May God’s sufficient grace carry the Brydge family through this valley of grief. Know you will be on our heart!
We were sorry to hear of Bills passing. Our prayers are with you Ena. Both of us know what it means to lose our spouse. May God comfort you in the days ahead.
We were sorry to hear of Brother Bill’s passing, and will be praying for Ena and Cindy and family! May the Lord comfort each of you at this time!
1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 (KJV)
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
