William "Bill" Davis

Obituary of William "Bill" Davis

Bill was born in Oshweken, Ontario on August 31st, 1948 to a family of 9. He grew up in the Niagara Region where he spent most of his life. He is survived by his brothers Garnet and Carl. In 1976 he welcomed his first child William and in 1983 his daughter Rebecca was born. At that time Bill was studying the bible and on March 10th, 1984 he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Then in September 1987 he married Brigitte and became stepdad to Jackie and Jeffrey. From there his family continued to grow, with the births of Sarah in 1990, Monique in 1993, and lastly Seneca in 2001. In the following years, Bill quickly began to welcome 11 beautiful; grandchildren.

Bill loved his family and did all he could to care for us. His love for the outdoors was evident from the many fishing and camping trips with family and friends. One of his favourite past times was riding motorcycles. Many knew him for his jokes, laugh, and smile. Bill was a hard worker from a young age; as a youth he worked with his family tying grapes and picking fruits in the summer. He then made a career of truck driving, mostly delivering groceries. He was known by the customers as an honest and pleasant individual. After his retirement he was able to dedicate more time to preaching the good news, and he had loving regular service partners that he spent many joyful times with. Bill also served in the Welland congregation as a ministerial servant, a privilege that he cherished.

During the last few years, while Bill was dealing with painful health conditions, his faith in Jehovah's promises continued to grow strong. He often said "Jehovah will fix me." We eagerly look forward to seeing Bill
again, young and healthy in the earthly paradise "where righteousness is to dwell." 2 Peter 3;13, Revelation 21:3,4.

On behalf of the family of William Davis, we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for your support, expressions of sympathy and sharing memories.
