Obituary of Willa Lorraine McShane
With emptiness in our hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Willa McShane on Thursday, September 5, 2024. She took her last breaths at Hospice Niagara surrounded by the love of her daughters who held her hands as she was called home to Heaven. Willa was 94 years old.She has been reunited with her parents Arthur and Hazel (née Markell), her husband William McShane (1999) and her grandson William Bulmer (1997). All of her siblings were patiently waiting for her arrival through the gates; Bruce, June, Bob, Arlene and Paul.
Left behind to carry on Grannie's legacy are her devoted daughters Laura McShane and Joanne Garrison, her grandchildren Christopher (Kelsey-Ann), Jordan (Nicole) and Brooke (Cody), her great-grandchildren Camryn and Audrey. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews.
She spent many happy hours with her family, whom she loved dearly. Her hobbies were as diverse as they were enjoyable; she found great satisfaction in cross-stitching intricate designs, singing with the church choir and engaging in lively bowling matches with friends, followed by cheerful lunches. Willa was a dedicated and proud member of Grace Gospel for over 80 years. The family would like to acknowledge the kind and compassionate friendship of Cheryl Cunningham whose regular visits (and treats) were so enjoyed by Willa and a sincere thank you to the staff at Hospice Niagara for their care and compassion.
In keeping with Willa's wishes, a graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery 4501 Stanley Avenue, Niagara Falls, ON on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. If desired, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice Niagara, Grace Gospel Church or to a charity of your choice.

Sending our sincere condolences on the passing of Willa. She was a great friend to my Mom & dad, Roy & Doris Hayes for many years at Grace Gospel. What a lovely lady she was. Glad that she is in Heaven.
It’s been many years but I have great memories of having lunch with Willa and her family after church. I knew her to be reserved and very kind and welcoming. I’m sorry for your loss but I know that she’s happy in heaven. “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her worth is far above rubies. Proverbs 31:10.”
