Obituary of Wendy Joan Haight
Wendy Joan HaightJanuary 2, 1957 – January 12, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our mom, Wendy, on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the age of 69. Wendy has been reunited with her beloved husband, Ken Haight (2023). She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Rebecca Haight (Mike Flynn) and Sara Haight (Bryan Roy). She was a devoted and cherished grandmother to Calvin Flynn, Willow Flynn, Nikolas Tersigni, and Jaxon Tersigni, with whom she shared a truly special bond. Her grandchildren will forever miss their adventures, sleepovers, laughter, and the comforting presence of their Grandma. She is loved and survived by her siblings Robert Perry (Marjorie), Lee Perry (Elaine), and Francis Sommerville (Garry), as well as her sister-in-law Joan Perry, and many extended family members and dear friends. Wendy was predeceased by her parents, Peternella and Reginald Perry, also by her brother John Perry.
Wendy was a wonderful, loving mother and spouse, a devoted nurse who spent her life caring for others, and a loyal, compassionate friend. She deeply valued family traditions and took great pride in bringing her family together for weekly dinners, moments that will always be treasured. Wendy also loved to travel, especially the trips she shared with her husband Ken, prior to his passing, creating memories that remained close to her heart. Her kindness and love will be remembered and she'll be missed by all who knew her. In accordance with Wendy's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Wendy's Life that will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Club Belvedere, 57 John Street, Thorold. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Hospice Niagara.
