Obituary of Wai Ling Lai
A kind heart and considerate soul, Wai Ling passed away at the young age of 67 years old on Thursday, December 24, 2020 in Niagara Falls, ON, Canada. She is survived by her loving sons Michael and Richard, and granddaughters Charlotte and Evangeline. She will be missed by her younger brother. She is also survived by her partner Kevin Joseph Bognar.Ling spent time in Windsor, ON before calling Niagara Falls home. She worked at Casino Niagara as a dealer and croupier for almost 20 years. She loved her job and was adored by the people she worked with. She also had a passion for cooking large meals for family, friends and guests alike. Always caring for others before herself, her compassionate nature endeared her to those around her. Her favourite pastimes included relaxing at Queen Victoria Park under a tree, watching fireworks from Oakes Garden Theatre on a park bench, or admiring the birds around Dufferin Island.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). A private family service was held on December 26th, and will be followed by a celebration of Ling’s life at a later date. She will be remembered by her love, loyalty and free spirited nature, which will be cherished forever.
