Obituary of Victoria Aniela Stonham

Peacefully, at home with her family by her side, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in her 75th year, Victoria Aniela Stonham (nee Egoroff) was called home. She is now reunited in the loving arms of her family and late husband Richard John Stonham.

Loving and devoted mother of Candice (Shawn) Stonham and Kristin (Brian) Stonham. Cherished Nannan of Hailey and Mikayla Stonham and her favourite dog Zeus. Dear sister of Denis (Joanne) Egoroff, Aunt to Andrew Egoroff and sister-in-law of Robert Stonham. Fondly remembered by her close friends of many years Donna Hallam, Sandra Leveille, and Patricia Keighan.

Predeceased by her parents Andrew and Helen Aniela Egoroff, and her parents-in-law Bill and Pat Stonham.

Vicky worked for the City of Thorold as a dedicated school crossing guard, where “her kids” at the crosswalk always meant so much to her. She had a deep love for gardening, both vegetables & flowers and enjoyed reading, painting & scrapbooking, and never passing up a good tea time with friends. She was an active member of Our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish and a woman of deep faith. Family trips to the cottage, making memories, especially fishing with the girls & boat rides brought her joy. The Long Point family cottage always held a special place in her heart.

A talented baker, Vicky’s sugar cookies and pizzelles were family favourites. Recipes that have been passed down through the generations. She also loved music and dancing, and treasured the memory of seeing Bryan Adams in concert in Toronto, although she always wished she could have seen Michael Bublé.

Those who knew her will remember her as strong, loyal, resilient, kind, thoughtful, and loving, a woman whose heart was as warm as her kitchen.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sonali Garland and the palliative care team as well as her nurse Iran Saddeje for their compassion and support during Vicky ’s final days.

If desired, donations in Vicky's memory can be made to Community Care Thorold or Greater Niagara Humane Society and would be greatly appreciated by her family.
