Obituary of Treva Iona Foster
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Treva Iona Foster, who passed away peacefully in St. Catharines, Ontario, on September 1, 2025.Treva was a devoted mother to William Foster (Charlene), Penny Ciardelli, and Derek Foster (Kym), and a cherished grandmother to Zachary Ciardelli, Ashley Foster (Sheldon Davidson), Brielyn Foster, Gerit Naber, Shalamar Faulkner, and Dan Baker. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Cayson, Cohen, Colson, Noland, and Carson.
She is pre-deceased by her siblings Cheryl, Donna, Les, Dale, Daryl, Arla, Helen, Faye, Ivet, and Marion, by her son Joey Foster, grandson Tommy Naber, and great-grandchild Vija Rose.
She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews as well as all who loved her.
Treva had a kind heart and was always ready to help anyone in need, whether lending a hand, offering support, or simply being there for those she loved. She had a wonderful sense of humor and brought joy to those around her.
She enjoyed playing bingo, loved thrifting with her family, and created many cherished memories on those outings. Although she didn’t travel often, she treasured the trips she took with her daughter Penny, especially their adventures to Reno, Las Vegas, and Mexico.
Treva will be fondly remembered for her love of all things sparkly, her generosity of spirit, and the laughter she brought into the lives of her family and friends.
Her gentle spirit and kind soul touched the lives of many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or New Hope Church Niagara.

I only met Treva the once and although that doesn’t make me an expert, you could tell that she exuded love through her family and that they carry it on.
My heart goes out to the family and my thoughts and prayers are with you. “Ma” was a loving and beautiful soul and I have great memories of the times I got to spend with her. She will truly be missed.
Sending a warm hug to your family in the loss of a wonderful lady. I have many fond memories of us all together.
As we get older those old memories surface more clearly and become closer to our hearts. Thinking of you.
