Obituary of Timothy John MacDonald "Chum"
Timothy John MacDonald "Chum"December 20, 1969 - September 8, 2023
Before sunrise Tim left us to go on a fishing trip in the heavenly sky with his grandpa John. Tim was the devoted son of Jim & Linda, whom he loved dearly. He especially enjoyed time spent with “Dadzy" watching Gunmoke & loved “Mumzy's” soup. He spent the last 8 years with the love of his life Melissa and her 2 sons, Tanner and Walker Unyi. He loved the boys and was proud to watch them grow into fine young men.
He was adored and loved by his sisters Lynette and Becky; his nephew Aaron (Kim) Lawes & niece Megan (Dave) Kelley. He was a great-uncle Chummy to James, Olive, Brenna and Willow. He will be deeply missed by his aunts, uncles & many cousins.
Tim was known for his infectious smile, big hugs & love for living life to its fullest. He faced all aspects of life with a positive attitude & smile. He was a jack of all trades. He thrived in all gatherings with family and friends that he loved and valued so much. To know "Chum" was to love him. Once you met him you couldn't forget him.
Tim treated his friends like family and they are all feeling a great loss. Tim would not want you to be salty. Chum would want you to smile, stay positive, think happy thoughts and love life. Share your memories with a "Brew pop" and "Cheers" him in the heavenly sky.
The family would like to sincerely thank all of his caregivers, including Dr. Scher, NHS Hospital sites and homecare nurses.
A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held Saturday, November 18 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 71, 130 Garrison Road, Fort Erie from 1-4 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or Wellspring Niagara.
