Obituary of Thomas Gerard Manning
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Thomas Gerard Manning announces his passing at his home on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the age of 73. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Katherine Safer, who predeceased him in June of this year.Tom was the proud father of Gareth Manning, who resides in Budapest, Hungary and will be fondly remembered by his siblings Justin, Maurice (Carmel), Helene, Monica, Louis and many nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents John and Annie Manning, his sister Clare, and brothers-in-law Martin and John.
Tom loved spending time in his garden, tending to his vegetables and herbs. He liked to keep himself busy and took great pride in building the fence that surrounds his yard. He and Katherine shared a love of travel, especially their road trips throughout the United States.
A true homebody, Tom cherished time spent at home with Katherine, where they warmly welcomed family and friends. A good game of Scrabble was always enjoyed, and in the warmer months he found peace swimming in his pool and relaxing in the quiet of his backyard.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In memory of Tom, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Deepest condolences to Gareth and to all of Gary’s relatives and friends. Gary will be deeply missed and warmly remembered. We treasure the memories of the good times we spent with him in Loughrea, Toledo, and Canada. The care he provided for his Dad, our Father and Grandfather, is one of Gary’s most loving contributions for which we are eternally grateful. Our prayers and thoughts are with Gareth and all who are grieving Gary.
