Obituary of Terry Morocco
Terry Morocco’s long struggle with Ovarian Cancer came to an end on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the age of 64. Terry will be forever loved and remembered by her husband Charles. A loving mom to Lauren Morocco (James) and Jason Morocco (Steph), stepmom to Courtney LeGood (Will), sister to Cathy Diamond (Craig), Mike Cushman (Kathy), predeceased by brother Chris Cushman (Jackie). Sister-in-law to Lori and George Alvarez, Bill LeGood and JoAnn Kingma and family; and formerly to John Morocco (Joyce), Glenn Morocco (Sheila), predeceased by James Morocco (Linda). She was a beloved Aunt and Great Aunt to many.Terry was lucky enough to have had two long and happy marriages. Her first husband, Tony Morocco passed away too young, but she found love and happiness for the second time with Charles LeGood. She is so grateful for the love both men brought to her life.
An employee of the Fallsview Group for over 21 years. Terry was very thankful for the support shown by all the staff and the Menechella family.
Terry woke up every day with a big smile, a workday or a play day. She enjoyed making her extraordinary flower gardens, loved to read and write, and was regularly published in local newspapers. She loved to travel, going to shows in Vegas, sailing in Mexico and exploring the mountains in Alberta. Her perfect day was a beach day with her jeep loaded with kayaks. At home, her favourite music would play while she crocheted unique clothes for family and various charities. She was always excited for hands-on home renovations and learning new technology like 3D printing. Terry amazed us every day and most especially on her last day.
Terry and her family thank her entire care team at the St. Catharines Hospital in the oncology, nursing, and palliative departments and the kindness and attentiveness provided.
A living celebration of life was held prior to Terry’s passing, and upon her request she will be cremated. Arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. In lieu of flowers, Terry wishes for people to donate to Project Share or their local food bank. In her words “it is needed now, more than ever.” Online condolences may be shared on Terry’s tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com.
Do not grieve me, for I am not gone. I am the lilac’s scent blowing on a spring day, I am the sound of the beach waves on a sunny summer day. I am the feel of the sunshine on your face. I am love and we will meet again.
