Obituary of Terry Lynn Green

At the tender age of 76, surrounded by her family and her two fur babies, Tux and Raven, Terry passed peacefully after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Marnie Taylor and her husband Frank Sendzik. She is survived by her daughter Cindy (Ken), her son Chris (Jackie), her granddaughters Rebekah (Damian), Franki and her great grandchildren Elissa, Bentley, Ezekiel and Kennadi, affectionately known as Gammie to her great grandchildren. She will also be terribly missed by her honorary grandson, Cody.

Born in Sarnia, Ontario she attended school in Lions Head. At the young age of 13, she was working for her parent’s cottage resort Cedar Grove in Tobermory. At 15 she started attending hunting parties with her father. As a young adult, Terry got into the love of showing and breeding dogs. She was a 55-year CKC member and received her lifetime membership with the CKC. Terry also was a proud member of Stick n' Needle Knitting Guild for many years. She had many hobbies from hunting and fishing to knitting, cross-stitch, crocheting, playing the game of backgammon, doing puzzles with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, throwing horseshoes, volunteering her time to knitting poppies for the poppy project, reading, and doing her morning routine of newspaper crossword puzzles.

She had an infallible memory and always made sure to share her memories with everyone around her. She had a love for ballroom dancing, she enjoyed many genres of music and enjoyed playing the organ. She always put her family above all else. She was graceful, beautiful, intelligent, funny, loving, caring, strong willed, compassionate and a stubborn woman. She will forever be missed by many and loved by all. The family would like to send their sincere thanks to the staff at St. Elizabeth's and Paramed for the care and support that they provided to Terry while she stayed in the comfort of her home.

In keeping with Terry's wishes, a time to offer comfort and share memories has been set aside on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 5:30 p.m until 7:30 p.m at Essentials Cremation Burial Services 4300 Drummond Road, Niagara Falls, ON. A private family funeral service will take place in Terry's honor with cremation to follow. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations in Terry's memory may be made to The Terry Fox Run or to The Niagara Dog Rescue.

We are deeply saddened to learn that Terry has passed away. We met her when she got Tux from us (Midsummer Cavaliers) and she would always keep in touch before and after she got him. She loved Tux so much and we were so happy to have met her and known her through dogs. May her memories and love for her family surround you in the times to come.

Terry will be missed. She had a big heart and a kind soul. She was a huge help when a mutual friend died with her support and her advice. We had lots of phone chats regarding our mutual passion (what else…..dogs). She loved her family above all. Sending love to her family and friends.

So very sorry to learn of Terrys passing. My parents lived beside her for several years and quickly became friends. My mom considered her a dear friend and kept in touch when they moved. May she rest in peace and be reunited with her husband and. beloved pups.
