Obituary of Terrence Donald Armitage

It is with profound sadness that the Armitage family announces his sudden passing. Terry, may you finally rest in peace after many years of battling addiction and mental health. He leaves behind his beloved daughters Naomi and Heidi, their mother Tammy Armitage, his ever doting mother Maribeth "Beth" Armitage, sisters Amy Armitage (Keith Hobbs), and Alison Sneek (Michael). He will be fondly missed by his nieces, Mikayla and Sheridan, as well as his nephews, Jared, Connor and Angus. The memories Terry made with his uncles, aunts and cousins through the years will often be reminisced. Waiting for him in heaven is his father Harwood, grandparents Donald and Flora Rusk, Kenneth and Lillas Armitage.

As per Terry's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-734-1031). All are invited to join the family to remember Terry’s life. This will be taking place at the Honest Lawyer in Welland from 8pm-10pm on April 22 in the “backroom”, for Terry’s last round. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Niagara Regional Men's Withdrawal Management Services or Niagara Health Foundation. Online condolences may be shared on Terrence’s tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com.

My heartfelt condolence goes out to all of you. To lose a son, a brother, a father, a partner, a friend is so heart-wrenching but to lose one so young makes the loss even more poignant. May you find comfort in the memories and in the fact that he no longer struggles. He has found rest. Wishing you all peace.

In loving memory ...
I/we pledge to make a memorial donation.

Much sympathy for his close family. All the years I knew Terry he was a fighter. Some battles can’t always be won. I’m happy knowing that he’s on the other side, not having to fight any longer. One person who came into my life that I’ll surely not ever forget. Rest well Terry.

My deepest sympathy to Beth,Amy,and Allison I am very sorry for your the loss of Terry. I have such great memories of working with him at Cox’s. He was such a character and so fun to be around. The last time I saw him was quite awhile back when I still lived in welland and the one thing I noticed even through everything he was always smiling. The picture you posted is how I will always remember him RIP Terry

I’ve known the Armitage family for about 37 years now they are my second family I love them all. So many stories of Terry but I’ll always remember the first time I met him his family moved in next to us and he was cutting grass with his pepsi hat. I’m so glad he got back in touch with me in January so I had these last few months of reconnecting with him. My hearts breaking for Mom Armitage Amy & Alison. But now I think of Terry with Dad Armitage and the stories they are sharing they were two of a kind. We will all miss Terry but have so many great memories of him. No more struggles Terry. 💜
