Obituary of Susan Jane Workman
After a courageous battle, Susan passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022 at the age of 62. Beloved wife and best friend of 42 years to Robert (Bob). Devoted mother to Bryan (Jennifer) and Dan. Loving sister to Evelyn, Erika (Bill) and Robert (Rose). Much loved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Susan will also be dearly missed by the family dogs, Guinness and Coors.Susan was born in Sault Ste. Marie in 1960. It is here that she and Robert met as teenagers while working at Kmart. They would eventually marry, have two wonderful children and settle in the Niagara Region. Susan worked for CIS Income Tax Services since 1991, and over the years she made many lifelong friendships with her colleagues. It meant so much to her to be able to go back to work, albeit briefly, in the last year to reunite with so many familiar, friendly faces. Among some of Susan's favourite hobbies included playing Bingo and enjoying an outing at one of the neighbourhood pubs. She also loved to travel, especially to places like Nashville, Vegas, and Cuba - anywhere hot! Many memories were made on trips spent travelling with her good friends Mark and Linda. Susan will be remembered as a wonderful wife, loving mother, animal lover and friend to many.
In keeping with Sue's wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest in Sault Ste. Marie.
