Obituary of Susan Gauthier (nee Cobierski)
April 13, 1946 - December 26, 2020It is with great sadness the family of Susan Gauthier (nee Cobierski) announces the passing of their mother at the age of 74 years. Beloved wife of the late Lionel Gauthier of Alban. Cherished mother of Francois "Frank" (Flordeliza "GiGi") of Sudbury, Lorraine (John) of Welland, Daniel (Gina) Alban, Nicole (Darren) Beamsville. Proud grandmother of Timmy, Shane, Cody, Brandon, Scott, Shannon, Randi, Jordan and great-grandmother to six little ones.
Susan was born in Sudbury to the late Erenstine (Gouin) and Dominic Cobierski. Oldest sister to the late Daniel "Danny", Patricia, the late Dennis, the late Ronald "Ronny", Barbara, Michael and the late Robert "Bob". Susan and her family moved to Alban, Ontario when she was a young girl. She went to school at Notre Dame de Lourdes in Alban, and married Lionel at the age of sixteen years old. Her pleasures in life were her family and BINGO. She raised her children and resided in Alban, until she moved to Oakwood Park Lodge. Sadly to say she passed away shortly after the COVID-19 outbreak at Oakwood Park Lodge in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The family wants to thank the staff at Oakwood Park Lodge for their kindness and care during her six years stay.
In accordance with Susan's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). A celebration of Susan's life and a small family gathering will be held in the springtime in Alban. In memory of Sue, Susie Q, Susie, Sue Sue, Susan… Please be kind and safe by staying home, distancing, washing your hands frequently and wearing your mask throughout this pandemic.

I was sorry to hear of Susie’s death. When I went to visit my dad she always remembered my name. We had nice little visits.
