Obituary of Sue Marsh (née Harrison)

After battling with a lengthy illness, Sue peacefully passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the age of 60. She has been reunited with her beloved husband Jeff who sadly passed away a few weeks ago. Sue will be lovingly remembered by her mother Barbara Balcombe (née Hall), brother John (Maria) Harrison, son Bill, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and extended family.

Sue, a loving, sweet, and caring individual, was known for her strength and hardworking nature. Her laughter was contagious, and she cherished her family and her beloved pet dog, Missy.

Born in England to Clive and Barbara, Sue immigrated with her family to Canada and settled with her family in Niagara Falls. She was a sociable bartender at the Chippawa Legion and an attentive listener. For several years she also worked for a number of the hotels in Niagara.

Before her illness, Sue led an active and socially engaged life, finding joy in keeping busy. She attended Rutland Elementary School and Westlane High School. She took pleasure in collecting Winnie the Pooh memorabilia, displaying a genuine fondness for the beloved character. Our family will dearly miss Sue and we will remember her forever.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Niagara Falls. A celebration of Sue's life will be held at a later date.

Sue's spirit will forever resonate with the following Winnie the Pooh quote, reflecting her enduring presence in the hearts of those who loved her:
