Obituary of Steve Levay

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Steve Levay at the NHS-Niagara Site on Monday March 27, 2023 at the age of 85. He is survived by his devoted wife Luneidy, his children Laura Levay, Diane Levay, Bernice Johnston (Ron) and Julie Reeves as well as his grandchildren. He has been reunited with his parents and his two brothers.

Steve was born in Hungary and immigrated to Canada landing in Montreal in 1956. His work took him all over Western and Central Canada but he loved to be in Calgary and in the quiet of Niagara. Steve worked for many years with Canadian Airlines and Air Canada as an aircraft mechanic. Steve enjoyed being outdoors in nature spending time fishing. He was very handy and was always looking at how to improve things. He was an amazing husband and neighbour and was always willing to lend a helpful hand. He will be terribly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him but especially by his family and friends in Cuba.

Steve's family would like to thank the staff at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, their neighbours Joanne and Dan Nevills for all their care and compassion as well as the caring team at Essentials Cremation and Burial Services.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A private family Celebration of Steve's Life was held in his honor.
