Obituary of Shirley Viola Visentin (nee Albers)

Our hearts are broken to announce the passing of Shirley Visentin (nee Albers) at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on January 14, 2022. Devoted wife of the late Norman Visentin (2013). Loving mother of Sandy Visentin, Mary-Jo Tokar (Mark Naslund), Karen Visentin (Roger Lapointe) and Leslie Visentin-Rockefeller. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren; Tara-Lynn, Erin, Tim, Mitchell and Griffin. Her legacy continues with her great grandchildren; Wyatt, Ivey and a baby girl to soon make her appearance. Sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Sheron Albers, Terry Albers, Mary Albers, Gloria Visentin, Lynn Visentin as well as many treasured extended family members. Predeceased by her parents Gladys and Glen Albers and her brothers Glen, Norman, Lorne (Val) and Richard.

Shirley was an avid Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Raptors fan. She was very proud of her accomplishment of singing with Chorus Niagara. The family would like to thank Shirley’s doctors, nurses and her entire palliative care team at Greater Niagara Hospital for their comforting guidance and support.

In accordance with Shirley’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place in Spring/Summer 2022. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Niagara Health Foundation allocation to the Palliative Care Unit at the Niagara Falls Hospital, will be greatly appreciated.
