Obituary of Shirley Joan Lamb
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Lamb, at the age of 94, in Niagara Falls, ON, on August 16, 2025.Shirley is reunited with her beloved husband, Robert, with whom she shared nearly 65 years of marriage. Their love story began when she was just 13 years old, and from that moment on, she had found her soulmate to share her life with. Together, they raised two daughters, Bobbi (Joe) and Laura (Marc), who were her pride and joy.
She will be lovingly remembered by her grandson Jordan and his fiancée Robin, who are soon to be married. Though she cannot be there in person, Shirley will be present in spirit, watching over their special day.
Shirley is predecased by her siblings, Don Amos (Pearl) and Hazel Stevenson (Jack), and will also be fondly remembered by her nieces Kathy Lowe (Ed), Elaine Andrews (Gary), and Carly.
She shared a special bond with Robin, a longtime family friend who spent many cherished moments with her. The family extends heartfelt thanks to her PSW, Monica, whose dedicated care and compassion never went unnoticed. Deep gratitude also goes to her caring neighbours, especially Shawn and Tracy, for always keeping a watchful eye and ensuring she was well looked after.
She will also be dearly missed by the Bellon and Potter families, relatives overseas, Kyle and Stephanie, and the Wegelin family.
Shirley met the love of her life in Niagara Falls, where together they built a beautiful life. They were perfectly matched, true soulmates who rarely found anything to disagree about.
For many years, they sang together in the choir at Christ Church, sharing not only their love for each other but also their love for music. She also enjoyed participating in Firehall Music Theatre productions and frequently performed in ChiRho music skits and church events whenever the opportunity arose.
She was a woman whose kind, warm, and loving presence could be felt instantly. You didn’t even have to know her personally to recognize what a wonderful person she was. She took great pride in her appearance and always ensured her outfits were perfectly matched, even if she was only heading to a simple appointment.
Shirley kept her household organized and was truly the heart of the home, always ensuring everyone was together and happy. Her husband took pride in cooking and caring for the family in his own way, making them a perfect team. Shirley loved to laugh, but she also had a fiery side, something those closest to her knew well. That spark created many unforgettable memories that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
She had a youthful spirit and never acted her age. Shirley absolutely adored her family, and they loved her just as deeply in return. She will be fondly remembered for her love of Christmas, teddy bears, and her joy in all things Disney (especially Tweety Bird).
Together, she and Robert are reunited, singing in the skies and watching over their family. When a simple whistle, a song, or a familiar voice is heard, know that it is them in spirit, doing what they loved most.
In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday August 24 2025 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Christ Church in the Parish Hall (4750 Zimmerman Ave, Niagara Falls, ON L2E 3M9). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the church.

Bobbi and Laura- my condolences to both of you on your Mom’s passing. She was a special person and will be missed by us all. Shirley always had a great smile and was always glad to see you!
I was so sorry to learn that Shirley has passed away.. She certainly was a very special woman of grace, style and much kindness who loved her family unreservedly. Shirley brought her talent, love of music and enthusiasm to the Church Choir where we sang together for many years. I will never forget the first birthday I celebrated after my Mother died, when I received a surprise phone call from Shirley and Bob…after I said hello, they joyfully sang “Happy Birthday” for me, something I’d told them my Mom always did. It’s something I will never forget, and speaks volumes about their thoughtfulness. To all of Shirley’s dear family, please accept our most sincere condolences, from me and my daughters to all of you. May beautiful Shirley rest in Eternal Peace and Light with her beloved Bob. May her memory be eternal.
