In Loving Memory of
Shirley Anne Bartlett (Currington)
1936 - 2022
Obituary of Shirley Anne Bartlett (Currington)
July 18, 1936 - May 4, 2022We know that Mom was sad to leave, but she has been reunited with her daughters Brenda and Barb, whom she missed dearly. She has been our sunshine, our rock, and our protector. She leaves behind her husband of 66 years, Frank, and her children John (Christine), Randy (Brenda), and Bonnie (Mark) St. Peter. She was predeceased by her daughters Brenda (2014) and Barbara (2019), her parents Reginald and Christine, her siblings Joan, Eleanor, Gloria, Bob, Barbara and John, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was the proud grandmother of 18 grandchildren, and great-grandmother of 20 great-grandchildren.
Mom loved gardening, ice skating, knitting, crossword puzzles, reading, and maple walnut ice cream. Mom enjoyed her time working at the Niagara Parks Commission, where she made many lifelong friends. It is hard to say goodbye, but we will always have our memories of the beautiful person our Mom was, and of all the joy she brought to our lives.
In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133).

So sorry to hear so late about the passing of an aunt we hardly knew. I use to send Christmas cards and pictures of the family but a few years ago they came back unopened. Our sincerest condolences to the entire family. I will always remember my many sleepovers at the Bartlett household when I was a teenager with my bestie,Brenda. We had a lot of good times and I will never forget the kindness of the whole family. Your Mom will be missed dearly but never forgotten.

I won’t lie when I say I wasn’t the perfect granddaughter but I will say this Grams was the perfect grandmother she filled everyone’s heart with love and care. I remember as a little girl going over before school and enjoying some special quality time with both Grandma and grandpa and after school walking to their house a couple blocks away while my parents were at work. We’d have a sucker from their little candy stash in the closet or some vanilla ice cream with corn syrup because it was her favourite. She was the Angel to our family and I couldn’t have been more blessed to be chosen to be a granddaughter to such an amazing person. And now her 3 great granddaughters not only have a piece of my mom but also a piece of Grandma in their names. We love you and will think of you often. Rest easy Grandma Shirley know momma and Aunt Barb would have been waiting with open arms for you.
Our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Our thoughts are with you.
So sorry to hear of Aunt Shirley’s passing. Unfortunately, I never met Shirley but was told what a beautiful lady she was. I also only met 3 of Shirley n Uncle Frank’s children being John n Christine at uncle Eddie’s funeral, Randy on his many visits here n Bonnie n Mark on a visit following their wedding. Our prayers are with you all during this time.
So very sorry to hear of Aunt Shirley’s passing. Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure of meeting her but have been told what a beautiful lady she was. I have met 3 of Shirley n Uncle Frank’s children, being John n Christine, which sadly to say, was at uncle Eddie’s funeral, Randy many times while visiting in St. Stephen and Bonnie n Mark during their visit here following their wedding. Our thoughts n prayers are with Uncle Frank and all family members at this time. God bless.
I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Shirley passing away; as a child she made me always feel loved and special . When we visited she always adorned the table with her amazing cooking and Uncle Frank with his top notch bbq skills. Our love and prayers ; just wished I lived closer to be able to come and see everyone. Much love and prayers to the family xo
