Shawn went with me to my first pride, long ago. Lost touch with him when he moved away. i think of him often. A very kind soul. Rest in peace Shawn.
Shawn was such a fun guy. He opened my eyes to what pride really stands for. I met him in 1999 and we skated at the roller palace in Clarkson, toured Toronto’s club scene (Boots Warehouse), tried out as extras in the TV series (QAF), met for lunches near his work at Hallmark and more. I hoped he had a beautiful life with lots of people who loved him. He will always have a place in my heart and memories.
Shawn was and always will be in my heart and thaughts. He always had a smile on his face during school and even later on in the later years truly a free spirit and will always be soaring through the skies.
Remembering a summer visit at my parents when Shawn was very young (6 or 7?) He was a cute rambunctious and mischievous little guy! We found him one time in the travel trailer where he’d sprayed a whole can of Raid! Yikes! He drove back to Mississauga from Moncton with a baby bunny my brother rescued while he was haying. We had lots of fun! Sweet memories!
I know Shawn had so many passions…one of his passions was movies…he loved talking not only about the movie but the actors as well.
He will be missed by myself and so many others.
RIP SHAWN
I know you are flying high with the angels
Oh Shawn…where do I begin? With the first thing I thought when we met and that was me asking myself who is this guy and I want to be his friend. That smile and wit! And those moves on the dance floor and your childlike eyes. I remember Nathan Lane and you almost had a sugar daddy. You were familiar from the start and until the end. Forever and ever you will be in my thoughts..rest my friend and dance your heart out!
When my daughter passed and I had to empty her house, Shawn offered to help move anything I needed help with. It was such a touching gesture that I will not forget. He had a good heart and showed much kindness to me. Rest easy now my friend.
It was a pleasure working with Shawn, he was very funny and he a very kind heart. You will be missed by many coworkers Shawn. May you in Rest in Peace Mate!

Shawn and i meet in grade nine and became really good friends. We had alot of good times and alot of laughs. He will be missed dearly.
I met Shawn just before starting grad nine we lived a block from each other, we were together almost all the time we had so many laughs together and he was always there for me. My thoughts and prayers go out to all his family and loved ones.
Shawn, We met about 5 and half years ago when I moved literally next door to you. You have been welcoming and such a great friend right from the start. You always managed to get me laughing. You would check in on my son and I. You have helped me get through some tough moments. You even dragged me out of the house a few times. I can’t even explain my gratitude to you or how much I value your friendship. You are missed and very much loved my dear friend.
Shawn was a great friend and colleague at work. He will be missed.
I met Shawn when he worked at Hallmark in Sheridan Mall with my daughter Leazanne Skey and Angela Langlois. In May of 1998 Shawn traveled to Florida with Leazanne, Laura Watts and myself. We stayed in Orlando for a week and spent a lot of time at Disney World. Shawn was able to arrange for discount ticket for the parks and we enjoyed many great experiences there. He got special attention at the Mexican Pavilion in Epcot because hes birthday was on Cinco de Mayo. He was cautious about alligators but was fascinated with them when they were in an enclosure. We also spent a week at Fort Myers Beach. Shawn wasn’t sure that the grey animals swimming in the Gulf were. When he knew they were Dolphins he became very interested in them as they came close to shore. We all enjoyed the vacation and Shawn added a lot to our fun times. I shall always remember the special time we shared. My condolences on your loss….Edwina

I met Shawn many moons ago when I worked at Buddies In Bad Times Theatre in Toronto as a bouncer. Shawn was a regular customer coming to the different events the venue would hold.
He was a fan of the music on Saturday evenings in the front bar of the theatre. And he always enjoyed the drag queen performances that would show up for one or two numbers.
Shawn was always a friendly face, with a warm smile.
My sincerest condolences to Shawn’s family and close friends.
See you on the other side one day Shawn!
Your buddy LJ
