In Loving Memory of
Sharon Lei Bezotosny (nee Roraph)
1947-2021
Obituary of Sharon Lei Bezotosny (nee Roraph)
On Saturday, January 23, 2021 our world said goodbye to a beautiful and loving woman, as Sharon peacefully passed away at the St. Catharines Hospital with her children by her side. Forever loved mother to Kristin and Jason (Cori). A proud and adoring Nana to Dustyn and Owen. She will be missed by her sister Dianne (Dave) Guthrie, extended family and friends. Sharon has reunited with her parents, Irene "Peggy" and Arnold Roraph, her brother Larry Roraph, and sister Linda Long.Born in 1947, Sharon grew up in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. Growing up, she worked in her family's store (The Pitt Meadows General Store). In 1967 she completed her Registered Nurse training in Vancouver. In 1971, Sharon moved to Ontario where she followed her calling, and her career in health care blossomed working at the St. Catharines General Hospital. She proudly retired after 25 years working at Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village. During her time there, she built wonderful relationships with her colleagues and with the residents, whom she always considered to be her extended family.
Sharon will be remembered for her kind, selfless, and compassionate nature. In every sense she was a true lady. She would never be seen without her hair and makeup done. Everyone would be received with a warm smile, a listening ear, and she was always there to help anyone in need. Her favourite moments in life included: tending to her garden, being a lifelong learner, being actively involved with CUPE 1263, and proudly living her life devoted to her faith and spiritual home, Bethany Community Church. Above all, her world was centred around her family (including her pets), whom she adored and was proud of!
The family would like to thank all the health care workers who took care of Sharon the way she cared for others throughout her life.
In accordance with Sharon's wishes, she was cremated, and arrangements entrusted through Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). A Celebration of Sharon's life will be held when it is safe to gather again. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Lincoln County Humane Society or consider making a special addition to your garden in her memory. Online condolences may be shared on Sharon's tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Sharon. She was a true lady indeed. I loved chatting with her about anything and everything. Rest in peace Sharon in the loving arms of our Saviour.
I knew Sharon from Bethany Community Church and at the mention of her name, I still instantly bring to mind her beautiful face and kind soft voice asking me how I’m doing. Sharon cared about people and will always be remembered for her love for others and her desire for them to know her Saviour’s love for them too.
Forgot to add pledge to my condolence.
Remembering Sharon as a kind and caring nurse, always devoted to the well being of her Ina Grafton LTC residents, including my mom. My sincere condolences to her family at this difficult time.
So sorry to hear this. She was one of my “favourites” when my Mom was at Ina Grafton. A very caring person.
I’m so sorry to hear of Sharon’s passing. My condolences to her family. I knew Sharon from Bethany Community Church and we often talked on Saturday nights after service. She was always so kind to me; asking about my life and kids and giving advice and encouragement. I will remember her.
I Worked with Sharon for many years in the Cupe 1263 union office. Sharon was a pleasure to work with and a whole lot of fun to be around. My condolences to her family. Sharon may you R.I.P.
My sincere condolences to Sharon’s family. She was a one of a kind gem. My dear nursing sister, mentor, friend, fellow Christian. Such a loss, but so many warm memories, shared pots of tea, occasional dinners with wine and endless conversations. I am so blessed for having known her as are so many. I admired her incredible work ethic and desire to serve others. She was a strong advocate for those who could not advocate for themselves and she did so with great humility. Peace be with you.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful photo of mom: “Sharon” This is her image engraved in my memory. Always elegant with a warm smile , loving , caring personality. We shared many warm conversations beside being privileged as her primary care physician. We shared the same faith walk & belonged to the same church family. I remember her warmth as a church greeter & her hospitality during coffee & bagel time on Saturday evening service. Sharon’s goal in life was to impart her faith to her children & grand children. She has left you clear tracks to follow & emulate . I know she will be missed by Jason ,Cori Dustyn & Owen. Kristin you fought for your mom, you were her greatest advocate when she could not advocate for herself , you cared for her ,you nursed her & maintained her dignity. You emulated Jesus love when it is said: “greater love has no one than this ,than to lay down his life for his beloved.” You put your life on hold & you loved her more than your own self. She will always live on in you & in the memories you gleamed in these precious two & half years . Your mom was greatly loved by her peers but more specially by her church family at Bethany community church. Her faith that we share gives us the constant assurance that we will see her in our heavenly home . So until we meet she will be absent in body but always present in our heart .
Love from all the staff here in the office ,love & prayer to you all .
With your permission I would like to forward a donation in honor of your mother to her home church Bethany. I know this is not your directive but this is where her heart beat was .
Much love & prayers .

I worked with Sharon, many, many, years ago, and on a chance meeting in an elevator before her illness, we recognized each other immediately. I was shocked when she became ill, but was humbled by the unconditional love and care shown to her by Kristen. I am so sorry for your loss.
My thoughts are with you during this sad time, we miss Sharon here with us at Ina Grafton, I will miss her laughter and conversation. She will never be forgotten. xo
Kristen’s,Jason ,Cori Dustyn,Owen my heart is breaking for you.Sharon you will be missed .We will cherish your memories of special times together and speak of you often RIP my friend .
I remember Sharon from High School. We used to have sleep overs. We belonged to rangers together and I have many fond memories of the bike trip we took to Vancouver Island riding from Naniamo to Victoria, camping on the way. We all waited for our pictures to show up in the Beautiful BC magazine but they never did. This picture of Sharon shows me she never changed…..just as beautiful as always.
Hair was always perfect and she had a face like an angel with a heart to go with it.
Love to her family. May you hold dear your cherished memories. Heaven has a precious angel.
So sorry for your loss. May your many fond memories bring you comfort at this devastating time. 🙏
Sharon will be sorely missed and long remembered.
My heart goes out to you Kristin and your family. Our daughters brought Sharon and I together and we became friends immediately. Many a night was spent talking about creams and makeup..she was the queen of cream! Of course when it came to any health issues she was always there to help answer any questions and lend a helpful hand. Rest in peace Sharon.
