Obituary of Scott Richard Murray

January 29, 1989 – January 24, 2023

It is with empty hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the sudden passing of Scott Murray on January 24, 2023 at the age of 33 years.

Scott’s memory will continue to be carried in the hearts of his parents Rick and Diane Murray, his cherished son Noah, sister Crystal (John), niece Jessica, nephew Michael and girlfriend Val Ferguson. He will be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, especially Carol and Gabriel Adamo, close friend Dylan McClean and his special buddy, Sadie. A special thank you is extended to Michelle and staff at Montana’s BBQ and Bar for their continued support.

Scott was a fun-loving, sensitive and kind-hearted “people person.” His kindheartedness was displayed in many ways such as giving his winter coat to a street person because he had an apartment to stay warm or covering up a homeless person sleeping on the sidewalk with a blanket from his couch or handing out food to those in need. He had a mischievous grin that melted your heart. Scott was an awesome and devoted dad who treasured the time he spent with Noah.

A note to our son: your life ended too soon, so many people are left with a deep void in their hearts. We were so proud of you and loved you with all our heart, which is one of the last words we spoke. We hope you are at peace now. Forever loved, always remembered, never forgotten. Love Mom and Dad.

Cremation has taken place. Rick and Diane are having a Celebration of Life at their home on February 19 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Please drop in and join in a toast to Scott. Also, the family would like to announce that Montanas Bar and Grill is hosting a fundraiser at Manhattans Bar, 405 Vine Street, St. Catharines for his son, Noah, on February 26 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm... raffles... 50/50 draw and games included Please call Montana's in St. Catharines (905-938-7050) and ask for Carrie or Jen if you have any questions.

Donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Special thanks are extended to Kayleigh at Essentials Cremation and Burial Services for her sincere compassion and support.

I didn’t know Scott very well, but I have been driving him to and from work or where ever he needed to go for about a year.I loved our conversations, he reminded me of my son his age.I will never forget him he touched a piece of me that won’t let go of him. I am so grateful for having the chance to know him. Take care,I hope you all are doing ok.
