Obituary of Sarah Festing Loshaw

With heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Sarah Loshaw on Sunday, July 12 at the age of 47. She has been reunited with her father Thomas Loshaw (2013).

Sarah was an adored daughter of Catherine Clements (Greg), a proud mother to Austin Loshaw (Katelyn), Abigail McKeown (Cody), Jacob Dobson and Rachael Dobson, a cherished nanny to Mason, Connor, Theodore and Miles, a dear sister to Mitch Loshaw (Shanna), Kayte Brown (Greg), Nick Clements (Angela). She will be terribly missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sarah will be remembered for her fierce spirit, generous heart and the deep love she gave to those fortunate enough to know her. Strong-willed and fiercely independent, she faced life on her own terms, yet she always made room in her heart for others. She loved deeply, gave selflessly and was always ready to protect the people she cared about.

Though naturally introverted and someone who never wanted to be the center of attention, she was often the life of the party, bringing laughter, warmth and a sense of comfort simply by being herself. She believed in giving people the benefit of the doubt and always hoped to see the good in others. A hopeless romantic at heart, she found joy in romance novels and believed in the power of love and connection.

Sarah had a special affection for cats and treasured the simple things that made her smile, especially Stitch, Baby Yoda, her growing collection of Pandora charms, cherished knickknacks and plushies that reflected her playful spirit. These little collections told the story of someone who found happiness in life's small comforts and meaningful keepsakes.

Although life took Sarah to many different places, Niagara was always home and she found her way back to the place that held her heart; even if it hurt. Her kindness, generosity and unwavering loyalty will be remembered by all who loved her.

Sarah leaves behind countless memories of laughter, compassion and unconditional love. Her strength, gentle heart and the way she made others feel seen and cared for will never be forgotten. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain with her family and friends forever.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
