Obituary of Sara Ann Sanders

It is with tremendous sadness that the family announces the sudden, yet peaceful passing of Sara at her home on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the age of 45. Beloved daughter to Barbara and Charles Sanders and their spouses Robert Soccini and Denise Sanders. Cherished older sister to Beth Sanders and most devoted “Auntie” to Grayson, Carter and Oliver. Lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles and cousins; Sara will also be deeply missed by her chosen family, especially Krista, Richard, Lonnie, Brett, Katrina, Deanna, Nicole, Shawn, Mark and Andy. Sara is now reunited with her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who have passed away, and her faithful, furry friend Spanky a.k.a Doodles.

Sara worked as a Purchaser with Panasonic Integrated Services in St. Catharines, and truly loved her job and the people she worked with. She earned her Culinary degree at Canadore College and a Business Administration degree from Southern New Hampshire University. She was an excellent cook, and was always willing to help guide those who encountered "kitchen dilemmas.” Among her hobbies and favourite things were; lounging in the water at the lake, a night watching a favourtie show or movie, or a game night playing Skip-bo or Rummikub. Sara loved music and could challenge even the experts at musical Jeopardy. Sara also loved celebrating Christmas; it was always her "thing" and visiting her over the holidays always meant a home decorated to perfection and delicious dishes she’d prepared for her family and friends.

Sara will be remembered for always having a genuine smile, infectious laugh, her quick wit, and her unwavering willingness to help others with her many talents. Sara had a love for all things sun-related, which was fitting because, like the sun, she was a source of brightness and warmth in everyone's life.

Cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). A Celebration of Sara's life will be held at the Brookside Banquet Venue, 99 Brookside St, London, ON, on Saturday, May 28 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Words of remembrance will be shared at 2:30 p.m. All are welcome. All guests attending are asked to please use the entrance marked for the banquet hall.

If desired, Sara and her family would be thrilled with memorial donations made to the Ontario SPCA.

I’m absolutely gutted to learn of Sara’s passing. She was such a bright light and kind soul! While although career paths sent us in different directions, I truly miss her quick whitted personality and sharp tongue. You were one of the first people at Tims with whom I bonded with, and that bond lasted throughout many years. I’ll forever miss our chats about everything and nothing at all! I look forward to the day we’ll be able to rant to each other all over again. I’ll miss you!

Sara was our main contact with Quickservice (Panasonic) and will be sorely missed. Many people at QSR Automations worked with her and she was always a joy to speak with. We will be making a memorial donation in her name.

We were lucky enough to be one of Sara’s chosen families and she a part of ours. She was part of Christmas and thanksgiving dinners at Kristas for almost 20 years. Always called me her second mom and called to say happy birthday every year. Such a very special kind loving person. Ian and I send our condolences and love to to all of you. We will miss her..

I am so sorry to hear of Sara’s passing. She came to my personal training studio to improve her health. She always had such a wonderful smile on her face! One of my fondest memories of her was randomly running into her at the Boca Raton Shopping Centre in Boca Raton, Florida. We both were so shocked to see eachother there! My deepest condolences ces to your whole family. She spoke so lovingly of all of you.

Sending our thoughts and prays to ll the family, friends and all who knew Sara. I worked with Sara in the early 2000s in a wonderful organisation called Griifin Gate in Lexington, Kentucky. I think its fair to say, we were loud, we danced alot, we partied a lot but we also worked 💪 hard. I have fond memories of Sara, always a smile, always welcoming and always up for a giggle. I bet she was the most awesome auntie you could ever wish for.

Sara and I’s friendship started many moons ago. She was often my sounding board and most definitely kept me out of ….
Her laughter and overall joy for life was something amazing.
Those who knew Sara can attest that family was the most important part of her life. She cherished all of you so much. There weren’t many if any conversations had where she would not speak about her family. Beth, she loved your boys so much. I’m not sure I have ever met someone so genuine and kind hearted.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with all family members during these difficult times. Sara will be truly missed. ❤️

Sara and I became fast friends at Tim’s and she welcomed me with open arms into her life. She has been my constant through all of life’s changes and challenges and I knew she would always be there no matter what. Sara and I laughed a lot when we were together because it was impossible not to, when you were with her. Sara was super proud of her family and shared regularly with me the ongoing of the “Boys” and their new adventures; what Beth was up to and how her Mom and Rob, Dad and Denise were doing. She cared so deeply for each of you and I am so very sorry for your tremendous loss. I take some small comfort in knowing Sara is with Spanky and they are soaking up the sun together. My heart hurts with you and for you with Sara’s passing. She was beautiful and will be forever missed.

Sara was always so bubbly and full of life when she was with her friends. It was always fun when Tara came home from Australia and the parkside girls would get together. Our heartfelt love and hugs to your family.

I can’t begin to express my sadness and sense of loss. I think that is a testament to how much Sara was loved. Sara and I worked together at Tim Horton’s and became fast friends. That friendship continued after Tim’s with regular birthday and catch up dinners and gatherings, and through COVID-19 when we each had birthday dinners delivered to the other. She was one of the most genuine, honest and happy people I’ve ever met. I’ll miss her more than I can express. My condolences to her family, friends and co-workers. Rest well Sara.
